Medra's Marvelous Museum

Welcome to my Page! I am glad that you stopped by for a visit. This page is dedicated to my family, friends, colleagues, and students at the University of Pittsburgh. I teach courses in Colonial America, the American Revolution and Federal Period and, on occasion, the United States Civil War. I hope to have some of my favorite links to sites concerned with my fields in history, as well as pictures and fine arts. (And also links to other interesting subjects and pages!) Since I anticipate that this will take some time, I invite you to check back again to see what progress I have made. (I hope!)

Medra's Music

Since one of my great passions is music, I have a section here devoted to some sites which I hope will be of interest. I compose music for piano and guitar, and especially enjoy playing pieces written in the 18th century and 19th centuries. I also am fond of Celtic and American folk songs, jigs, and reels, as well as Latino rhythms.
